Tribes Travel

Founded in 1998, Tribes Travel is an independent tour operator owned and run by Amanda and Guy Marks, backed by an expert team of knowledgeable and friendly travel specialists. Tribes offers travel experiences which are tailored to the hopes and dreams of each traveller. A high quality of personal service is given to our clients, many of whom travel with us again and again because they trust our honest advice.  Being independent, we sell only the services and accommodations that we know well, and our consultants travel regularly to keep such knowledge up to date. Our commitment to keeping travel responsible in each destination is important to the whole team.

We have been selling travel to India for nearly 20 years, and we know and love the country.  Happily, we get high praise from our returning clients for the holidays we put together for them, both in terms of preparation before the trip and of course during their travels.  If we can help you plan an exciting trip in India (or any of the 23 other countries we cover), we would be delighted to hear from you. Our website is www.tribes.co.uk.

Responsible Travel

Tribes has an excellent reputation for its stance on sustainable and responsible travel, for which we have won various global awards including the Tourism for Tomorrow Award and the Responsible Travel Award. Conservation, protection and sustainability are all key to what we try to promote and offer our clients. We have a written Code, we give a lot of relevant advice to our travellers, and we run a charity called The Tribes Foundation. Also, for every person that travels with Tribes we plant trees via The Travel Forest, which is currently planting mostly indigenous trees in a deforested area of northern Malawi. We do not charge our clients for this, it is simply a commitment we choose to make to the environment. In India we helped fund TOFTs Village Wildlife Guardians project to protect tigers. We are proud to have been involved with such a great project.
