Denwa Backwater Escape, is an eco-luxury, wildlife resort in Satpura National Park. This idyllic getaway is nestled in the densely forested land of Madhai, along the backwaters of the meandering Denwa River. Built on 10 acres of lush forest cover; this eco-luxury wildlife resort offers stunning views of the Denwa River, the rolling Pachmarhi hills and rolling grasslands of Satpura. The Denwa Backwater Escape is a quaint jungle eco-luxury resort that is single-use plastic free. Built in contemporary safari style design, the lodge uses local and sustainable material like stone, baked tiles, even recycled old furniture, including wooden railway sleepers. Built on 10 acres, the eight Cottages and two Tree house are done up in eclectically crafted, leather safari furniture, c...risp cotton upholstery and linen. The walls and the rooms are adorned with local art and crafts, that also include wrought iron Bastar art. The cosy accommodation offers sprawling verandahs with scenic views of the forest cover and the winding Denwa river of Satpura National Park.
  • Activities offered include nature walks; jeep safaris; kayaking; cycling; night safaris; and walking & camping safari in the core of Satpura National Park. Besides the boating facility offered by forest officials, the lodge also gives guests an option of booking an exquisite boat safari experience in its 8 seater private boat, taking guests to the depth of Denwa river, to witness the somersaulting wildlife that inhabits the surroundings.
  • Choose amongst 8 luxuriant cottages or 2 tree houses, all en suite. The cottages have a large terrace where you can sleep out under a glorious panoply of stars. Staff will arrange for mosquito netting on request. Rooms come with intercom facility, air conditioning and power back up.
  • The dining hall overlooks the tranquil Denwa River and serves a variety of Indian, Continental and local cuisines cooked with fresh produce sourced from neighbouring villages.
