Ritu Makhija is Director Sustainability of TOFTigers Campaign and Responsible Tourism Consultant. She has over 25 years of work experience in tourism sector, taking sustainability on the grass root level through various workshops and engagement with the with the travel trade community. Her focus has been aligning certification schemes (PUG, FOOTPRINT & Travelife), amongst the accommodation providers and travel agents driving its use within the travel trade as a buyer’s tool for consumers. She has helped TOFTigers strengthen its mission and curated TOFTigers Knowledge Series to benefit & motivate the travel trade community during pandemic through inspiring talks of industry experts. She has also been associated with organising Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart, an event organised by MPTB for 3 consecutive years.

She actively contributes to the industry and possess excellent management and business development skills She possesses ability to prioritize, project management with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Not only that she is a keen learner & has done various workshops to keep herself abreast with everchanging world.

She is a qualified sustainable tourism expert with GSTC certification to her credit and also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Responsible Tourism from the Leeds Beckett University, UK.
