The Wildernest

Periyar Tiger Reserve

Kerala

The Wildernest is a ten-room bed & breakfast lodge located in the small town of Kumily close to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Run by a team of eight, it is ideal for people seeking to spot wildlife in and around the sanctuary. The Wildernest also has deep connections with the local spice industry. Besides the tastefully donerooms and hearty breakfast, the team here can also guide you to shopping in the local market and nature treks. Traditional Kerala handicrafts, a range of organic food products and world-famous spice shops – all in the local market. There are several spice plantations and indigenous villages nearby; the incredibly diverse Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is within walking distance.
