Brief Profile of PUG Auditors/Green Team

Sycom Projects Consultants Private Limited has an in-house team of nine experts with experienced & trained professionals from diverse fields such as Management, Environment, Technology, Tourism, International Business & Social sectors.

Mr. Pradeep Dadlani – Head Auditor

Pradeep is one of the co-founders and present Director of Sycom Projects Consulting Ltd. He holds a B.E Hons. (Mechanical) from BITS Pilani with an MBA from FMS, University of Delhi and has beenproviding consultancy services for the last 30 years including being an Environmental Safeguards Specialists with the World Bank.

He has worked on several projects related to Environmental Auditing, EIA & EMP studies, Forestry, Sustainable Development, Livelihoods, Sanitation and Eco-Tourism for clients such as The World Bank, DFID, EC, UNDP, GTZ, DANIDA, and CIDA. Furthermore he has also presented papers on case studies on sustainable Eco-Tourism at various national conferences. He has undertaken over 40 PUG Audits across India covering wildlife areas such as Kabini, Coorg, Corbett, Nameri, Valparai, Bandipur, Pench, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Ranthambhore, Kaziranga, Satpura, Tadoba, and Sundarbans.

He is head auditor of the TOFTigers PUG audit team.

Mr. MPS Puri

Mini earned his B.Sc. Ag. Eng. in 1973 and MSc. Ag Eng. in 1975 from the Allahabad University. Mr. Puri began his professional career with the House of Kirloskars in 1975 as Management Trainee and left in 1985 as the youngest Regional Manager. His main responsibility was to develop domestic and export markets. Then, for the next 10 years, as a consultant, he helped European companies and banks to develop their business in India by introducing their new to India, concepts, products, technologies and services. Thereafter, in 1995, he created Synergy International at New Delhi to help its clients in addressing complex challenges associated with their entry into the Indian sub-continent market by

leveraging his exceptional international business development skills and with the collaborative efforts of his various associates. In addition, he helped in resolving their mission’s critical issues.

Mr. Puri has been taking proactive interest in protecting wildlife and in helping make our environment self-sustainable throughout his career. He underwent specializedGSTC based audit trainings by experts Guy Chester, Julian Matthews and Pradeep Dadlani. He conducted many audits of resorts and lodges located at various wildlife parks and tiger reserve forests and provided pragmatic suggestions for improving their sustainability.

Mr. V K Soni

He is a qualified Agricultural Engineer, and also a management professional with the specialization in Resource Management. He is widely travelled in Asia-Pacific and European regions, attended and presented country papers on different issues of developments at various national and international forums. He has more than 30 years of experience and professional contribution in the field of tourism, livelihood, tribal community development, forest management, watershed management, sustainable development including Integrated Rural Development. He also has good experience in International Tourism.

Mr. Soni has been an active member of the TOFT PUG audit team right from its inception in India andhas since carried out more than 20 audits in many National Parks in India including Kanha, Corbett, Satpura, Bandhavgarh, Panna, Pench and Tadoba as well as in Nepal Bardia, and Chitwan.

Hardeep Sodhi

Hardeep is a qualified electrical engineer; MBA with an additional qualification of LLB with over 30 years of experience in diverse fields including Training and Capacity Building, International Business, Law, Environment and Marketing. He has undertaken several Audits in the wildlife parks of Ranthambhore, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Corbett, Nagzira, Rajaji National Park, Pench and Chitwan (Nepal). He has a vast International experience of working in the Middle East and Africa and has conducted several training programmes. He has been instrumental in developing

a checklist for the PUG Green team Audits and has been taking a lead in the Environment Law, their compliance and the Regulatory Framework. He is also associated with a National NGO Nav Anubhuti working in the field of Sustainable Tourism, Livelihoods and waste management.

Shabarni Roy Chowdhury

Shabarni holds M. Phil. in Environmental Sciences from Jadavpur University, Kolkataand M.Sc. (Physical Anthropology) from VishwaBharati University, Shantiniketan, West Bengal. She has more than 10 years of working experience in various Environmental sectors like Sustainable Eco tourism, Gender Studies, Livelihood and Sanitation etc. Being as a SWM expert, she has handed various projects and DPRs on Municipal Solid Waste Management. She also has 2 years of working experience with ENVIS Centre, WWF-India and Traffic-India (Funded by Ministry of Environment and Forest, MoEF) where she undertook analysis of Parliamentarian (of both houses)

Data on Environmental topics; ENVIS Programme on Panchayati Raj (Funded by MoEF under Indian Environmental Society) where she edited and compiled newsletters and Magazines, Yamuna Action Plan II (School Health and Hygiene) funded by MoEF& JICA, where she developed a strategic plan for handling projects and training material on safe drinking water and sanitation issues.

She has been associated with TOFT India from more than 2 years as a TOFT Pug Auditor and Coordinator. She was also a part of GSTC Training program conducted by Mr. Guy Chester and Mr. Julian Mathews held at Corbett National Park and has conducted several TOFT PUG Audits of various Lodge.

Rahul Singh

Rahul Singh secured a Masters degree in Environment Management from Guru Gobind Indraprastha University. He is involved in many environmental sustainability projects focusing on environment management, water, solid waste and climate change. He also has good exposure in many wildlife projects. He has worked on Mapping of the Asian Elephant Corridor in RajaJi National park and the study on Elephant Train conflict in Assam with the help of GIS and Remote Sensing.

Rahul has experience in training and capacity building in the field of Sustainable Management and has a working knowledge of GIS. He has been working as a freelance Environment Auditor with TOFT and audited more than 40 hotels situated in different National parks in India and Nepal.

Sakshi Bhargava

Sakshi Bhargava holds 6 years of experience in the field of evironment. Currently, working as a Consultant to Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), her work focuses on ‘Research into adoption of Life Cycle Approaches in Indian organizations’. Prior to this, she wasworking with Quality Council of India for providing technical support for Accreditation of EIA Consultant Organizations.

Sakshi has a Masters in Environment Management. She has carried out Habitat Suitability Analysis for tigers in Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary, Maharashtra with the help of geospatial technologies (remote sensing and GIS) as a part of her dessertation thesis.

For her interest in environment, wildlife and sustainability, Ms. Bhargava has been associated with ToFTigers PUG audit programmefor 3 years to support their campaign for Responsible and Sustainable Tourism. She has carried out more than 20 audits of resorts and lodges covering about 9 wildlife parks and tiger reserves in India. She has also been part of the GSTC based training in November 2014 provided by Guy Chester.

Chindu Chandran

Chindu is currently pursuing Ph.D (Natural Resource Management) under the supervision of Prof. Prodyut Bhattacharya from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Dwarka and also designing a Ecological Footprint System for various protected areas of India. She has completed her M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and graduated in Life Sciences from University of Delhi.

Chindu carried out a PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) for various villages in Delhi and was selected as the Delhi ambassador for Rio+20 INDIA Program.

She carried out environmental and social audits for many resorts and lodges located in the vicinity of National Reserve Forest including Bandhavgarh ,Pench, Tadoba, Ranthambore, Keoladeo, Chambal, Kanha, Corbett as a TOFTigers PUG auditor.

Aditya Bisht

Aditya is a Post Graduate in M.Sc. Natural Resource Management (Environmental Sciences) and MBA in Financial Management from New Delhi. He also holds various Diploma and Certificates like in Urban Planning and Development and the RIO+20 India Certification Program for Sustainable Development.

Currently working in Sycom Projects Consultants Pvt. Ltd., he has more than 2 years of working experience in various Environmental sectors like Municipal Solid Waste Management, E-waste Management, Social Development and Issues and Rural Water and Sanitation. He has also developed a Sustainable and Integrated Growth Model for urban waste management and

studied in detail the regulatory issues and attitudes of communities to waste before coming up with an inclusive action plan for the in proper management of wastes. As a research trainee he was involved in development of “Water Foot Printing Criteria” for Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), IGI Airport New Delhi, which covered measurement and analysis of water consumption and recycling rate per day at IGI Airport.

As a TOFT Pug Auditor, he has audited more than 19 Lodges and resorts situated in the vicinity of various National Parks across India like Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Corbett, Rajaji and Panna National Park.As a trained cadet of National Cadet Corps (NCC), he has also gone through rigorous commando trainings and Army Attachment Camps, which have made him a valuable asset in any kind of working environment. He was also a part of “Delhi United Team” and served as a “Ceremony Support Assistant” during “XIX Commonwealth Games” held at New Delhi in 2010.

Ekta Sharma

Ekta Sharma is a qualified Environmentalist. She did her Bachelor’s in Environmental Sciences from Ramjas College, Delhi University and Masters in Environmental Sciences from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. She has worked on the projects like Sustainable Ecotourism and Waste management in Urban Areas etc. Ekta has participated in several studies such as PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) and EIA (Environment Impact Assessment) of Pulp and Paper Industries and also worked to raise the awareness  towards importance of Organic farming and Sanitation in the rural areas. She also loves to take part in the wildlife conservation activities.

She has presented her thesis on the Drainage Characterization and Morphometric analysis of Upper Beas River Catchment in Western Himalayas on the basis of linear aspects and working on the same project as a researcher for another two aspects (Aerial and Relief) using Geospatial Technology. She is a proud member of ENBIOS (Environment and Biodiversity Conservation Society) Society, Kurukshetra University from last three years. She has one year of working experience in Business Development and now working with Sycom Projects Consultants Pvt. Ltd.

She has also undertaken several audits as a proactive TOFT Pug Auditor.
