Tour Operators for Tigers (TOFT) has been recognized as a Sustainable Travel Innovator in the prestigious Travel + Leisure Global Vision Awards, honouring our pioneering work in eco-friendly tourism and conservation efforts in India & Nepal.

The population of tigers has dwindled dramatically due to several reasons. During this time, Sariska Tiger Reserve served as a blueprint for other tiger reserves, showing that with dedicated conservation efforts, it is possible to bring tigers back from the brink.

The number of tigers in India has increased from 2,967 in 2018 to 3,682 in 2022, an annual rise of 6 per cent, according to the latest government data released on the International Tiger Day on Saturday.

December 5, 2023:  TOFTigers, in collaboration with the esteemed Sanctuary Nature Foundation, organized the 6th TOFTigers Wildlife Tourism Awards at Bikaner House, New Delhi. The awards ceremony, theme "Recognizing and Rewarding the Good Work," served as a platform to honour outstanding contributions to sustainable and responsible tourism in the Indian subcontinent. The event brought together state tourism officials, businesses, service providers, photographers, community enterprises, wildlife enthusiasts that have demonstrated a profound commitment to conservation through exceptional wildlife tourism initiatives.

Project Tiger has 53 tiger reserves spread across every ecosystem in India: from Namdapha in the north-eastern Himalayas to Pakke and Nameri in the foothills; Danpa in the Mizo hills to Valmiki in Terai (Bihar). Now draw an imaginary line from Corbett in the north, through Kanha and Bandhavgarh and via Pench and Tadoba in central India to Nagarhole, Mudumalai and Bandipur in the south.
